Invited faculty as speaker and chairperson at the ASSI Operative course 2025 organised by Bombay Spine Society at St Regis hotel conference venue on 18th Oct 25. Dr Debnath spoke on complex spinal deformity in adolescents. It was well received by the Spine Surgeons at the conference.
Dr. Debnath has 35 years of experience in Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy, and Spinal Surgery. Recognized as one of the best orthopaedic surgeons in Kolkata and the best spine surgeons in Kolkata, he has worked and expanded his knowledge and skills in reputed university hospitals of England, Wales & Ireland. He has been working in India, the Middle East, and the UK as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Dr. Debnath is an active member of the Scoliosis Research Society, USA. Along with Dr. Jeff McConnell, MD, from the USA, he developed in 2006 the first global outreach program for spinal deformity correction surgery in Kolkata called “Operation Straight Spine.”
Dr Debnath has performed approximately 10,000 Orthopaedic and Trauma surgery successfully in the last 30 years. He has performed more than 5000 fracture surgery, 1000 joint replacement, 1000 arthroscopic surgeries & 2000 spinal operations. He has innate ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team of healthcare professionals.
